The VI ANCEI Congress was celebrated on May 30 and 31 in Tarragona

For second year in a row, the i-CONSENT project participated in the ANCEI Congress in its VI edition, taking the first project results before the Spanish Research Ethic Committees.

i-CONSENT participated in two pannels, the first one conducted by Javier Diez-Domingo, Project Coordinator, where the project was presented: objectives, stakeholders, etc. and another one by the project’s Technical Manager Jaime Fons-Martínez who presented the conclusions on the opinion of the Ethical Committees in the use of Social Media for patient recruitment in clinical studies, collected from a workshop organised in coordination with ANCEI.

i-CONSENT was also present in the poster section with two communications on the project methodology and the gender perspective in the Informed Consent process (read the full poster on our results section on our webpage).

The event, that took place on May 30 and 31 at El Seminari, in Tarragona, was organised under the name “Working together to improve the ethical debate in biomedical research” and was aimed to highlight the perspective of the different agents that intervene in the ethical evaluation process and in its execution.
