Professor Federico de Montalvo Jääskeläinen will review the project product from an ethical and legal point of view
After the fruitful first Guidelines Review Meeting with Prof. Carlos M. Romeo Casabona, for i-CONSENT project it is time to take another step. On February 24th, i-CONSENT team will meet Professor Federico de Montalvo Jääskeläinen in Rome, starting with this meeting a second round of revisions. De Montalvo will discuss the ethical and legal focus of the guidelines so that they meet the appropriate requirements.
He is the current Director of the Center for Innovation in Law (CID-ICADE),member of the UNESCO International Bioethics Committee (IBC) and President of the Spanish Bioethics Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Spanish Association of Health Lawyers.
After this meeting, i-CONSENT plan is to consult experts from various fields including law, ethics, technologies, industry and healthcare institutions. These actions will, then, ensure that the guidelines are as complete and comprehensive as possible.
